Monique Alexis & Co. began with a simple idea: thoughtful design is a form of storytelling. It started with color and grew into a full practice spanning interiors, consulting, and creative direction.
The studio's roots trace back to Midwest Mixtape, where Monique built her design foundation in the music business, creating branding, visuals, and live experiences built to capture energy and story. That same creative eye now shapes how she reads a home: as a layered, personal thing worth getting right.
Monique is trained by Maria Killam, creator of the Killam Colour System® and the Understanding Undertones® Neutral Colour Wheel. The True Colour Expert™ certification is a rigorous, in-person program focused on the one thing most color advice skips: undertones.
That training means she can diagnose the undertones hidden in your paint, brick, stone, countertops, flooring, and fixtures, then build a palette that works with those fixed elements instead of fighting them. The result is a home that feels cohesive on purpose, not by accident.
